Due to the reduction in our water table (typical for August and due to the summer weather) the City of Seymour is strongly recommending that citizens adopt ‘Smart Watering’ practices. The City of Seymour Water Production Superintendent Rick Garcia states that ‘by no means are we running out of water, but with the situation in our region, other cities are taking very stringent measures for water conservation – including bans and mandatory restrictions, so Seymour citizens would be well served to begin early taking the simple, voluntary steps which will make sure that we stay in good shape’.

The City of Seymour Reverse Osmosis plant is running approximately one million gallons a day to our customers during this hot weather. We process approximately 330,473,000 gallons per year through the plant, which translates to 1013 Acre Feet of water. Our well-levels are monitored on a monthly basis.
